IThenticate is available to the faculty, staff and students of MD Anderson Cancer Center.

A similarity report is generated that will highlight all text that matches other sources. After uploading your document, iThenticate will compare the text to 40+ million published research articles and 50+ billion web pages. The reports can also be used as part of a formative or low-stakes assessment to help students understand. Turnitin generates вЂsimilarity reportsвЂ™ on student submissions which can provide instructors with information about plagiarized sources. The Research Medical Library has licensed iThenticate so that you can test your manuscripts and grant applications prior to submission to detect any potential problems. Turnitin can be used as both a plagiarism tool and an educational tool. IThenticate ( ) is used by publishers and funding agencies to check for plagiarism and ensure the originality of work before publication. Like Turnitin, iThenticate generates a colour-coded similarity report showing any matched text and where the original can be found.

This service allows researchers to easily upload and scan documents, manuscripts, research and other professional works into iThenticate. For faculty, researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students engaged in high-level research who are interested in checking their own materials for plagiarism, we have licensed iThenticate.

iThenticate is designed to be used by researchers to screen written work for originality.
